There are a range of accommodation options for Summer School students. The University of Edinburgh has several types of catered and self-catered accommodation available, or you may choose to arrange your own private accommodation.
As a Summer School student, you can book official University of Edinburgh accommodation. You will have the option of catered or self-catered accommodation, and spaces are given on a first come first served basis. Accommodation needs to be booked directly with the accommodation provider (The University of Edinburgh Accommodation Services team) – the Summer School can’t book accommodation for you. Your course fee does not include accommodation costs, so any accommodation you book will be charged separately by the Accommodation Services team.
We’ll send you a link to the Summer School accommodation booking website when we email you with your final booking confirmation. Please do not try to book University accommodation before you receive this. See our Application Timeline for details of when we’ll contact you.
If you would like to get an idea of the types of accommodation offered, and their locations around Edinburgh, visit the Accommodation Services website.

If you choose to arrange your own private accommodation, we encourage you to fully research your options, and to only book via reputable channels. Pre-University students should not arrange their own private accommodation, catered University accommodation is included in your course fee.
