Summer School Campus
Most of your teaching will be held at the University's Holyrood campus, which is based at the edge of Edinburgh's Old Town. Many of the University’s buildings in the Holyrood campus are key to the architectural heritage of the city and you will have a chance to explore many of them during your stay. The campus - and University accommodation - are a short walk from the centre of the city. When you explore the city, you'll realise just how compact it is and how much there is to enjoy during your time here.
Academic and Support Services
As a student of the Summer School, you will have full access to the wide range of academic and support services that the University has to offer. The amenities across campus are designed to make you feel at home, support your studies, and help you get to know your fellow students.
Edinburgh University Students' Association (EUSA)
EUSA offers a range of bars, cafes, venues, entertainment and retail outlets across campus. Teviot Row House is the oldest purpose-built student union building in the world and hosts six different bars that cater for a range of tastes, from the Lounge Bar with its jazz feel to the Sports Bar where you can catch some live games.
During your time in Edinburgh, you will have full access to the University’s library services. Our libraries are perfectly equipped to support your learning. The Main Library, based at George Square, is the largest on campus and stores over 800,000 books. You will also be able to enjoy a range of specialised study facilities including:
- Bookable study rooms
- Group study pods
- Individual study space
